Today was great! I helped in pre-K again by washing toys. I put string on the lacing cards so the kids can actually lace with them. The box that held the play-dough had roaches in it....
They pick their noses here, but it's not a thing like it is in the U.S.
I had a moment today with Faith where I got to pray for her hand. She broke it and required surgery and it's still swollen and painful. It was neat to be able to pray for her and let her know she is precious and loved.
Later, with Purity, she was taking selfies and other pictures with my phone. That was fun. Faith came and we took pictures together and had Purity take some. At one point, Purity asked about my HOPE tattoo. Then, she asked about my sheep tattoo. I shared with her that it reminds me that Jesus is my Good Shepherd and I am His Little Lamb. I told her that if we belong to Jesus, we are His sheep. I asked, and both she and Faith said that yes, they belonged to Jesus. I told them that I did too, and that because of that, we are sisters and God is our Father. Purity seemed to like that. It was such a wonderful moment for me.
After dinner, my team and I prepped about 200+ peanut butter and honey sandwiches and some bags of popcorn for the 5k race tomorrow.
The kids who live here had movie night tonight. I ended my day by watching Home Alone 3 by projector with my African brothers and sisters under the African night sky. What an experience! It was so much fun to laugh with them at the movie's funny parts!
