Jambo!
I have returned safely from Africa, and am already longing to return there. Though it's only been two weeks, somehow it feels like I've been there for a year. Since I was unable to blog while I was there, I thought I would share now that I am back. I journaled everyday while in Kenya, and want to share with you the things that happened there. After this post, I'll start with Day 1 of my trip, sharing day-by-day what I experienced there.
I want to thank you if you prayed for me while I was gone, and I also want to thank you if you gave towards my trip. I don't have any words to describe the things I saw. I do know that I want this to have been more than just another experience. I'm honestly glad I did not have contact with the world while I was away, because I was able to be all there. It's a foreign thing anymore to be completely present. But I was, and I'm glad for it. I dove in to where I was. Christ calls us to give our all, and I think I did. I know I gave my heart, and I have no regrets. My only regret is that I had to leave. My hope is that I will return.
